As we launch Reading Workshop students will:

1. learn the classroom procedures.

2. get in the habit of filling out reading logs.

3. build their reading stamina.

4. jot post-its while reading.

5. learn to read with fluency.

6. learn the routines for reading partnerships.

Readers change their just-right books once a week and their look books twice a week. Be sure to ask your reader what day he/she book shops!

How does that book fit?

We become stronger readers by reading just-right books, but we can enjoy a slipper or fancy shoe book.
